Mechanical Anchors

Mechanical anchors are designed for a range of base materials, such as concrete, brick, and block. We provide these options through our partnership with Simpson Strong-Tie®, a leader in structural systems for over sixty years.

Find some of the most commonly used anchors below.

Wedge Anchors

Code listed for cracked and uncracked concrete and masonry applications, the Strong-Bolt 2 wedge-type expansion anchor is an optimal choice for high-performance, even in seismic and high-wind conditions. Dual undercutting embossments on each clip segment enable secondary expansion should a crack form and intersect the anchor location. This feature significantly increases the ability of Strong-Bolt 2 to carry load if the hole expands.

Heavy-Duty Screw Anchors

Titen HD® screw anchors offer low installation torque and outstanding performance. They’re designed for a wide variety of applications, like sill plates, ledgers, post bases, seating, and other hold-down applications. These screw anchors are easy to remove when fixtures need to be relocated or when used in temporary applications like bracing and framework.

Drop-In Anchors

Simpson Strong-Tie® offers a redesigned Drop-In anchor (DIAB) that makes it easier to install into base materials. The updated geometry in the preassembled expansion plug improves setting capabilities, so the anchors install with 40% fewer hammer strikes than previous versions did. These displacement-controlled expansion anchors are easy to set by driving the plug towards the bottom of the anchor with either hand or power-setting tools. DIAB anchors feature positive-set marking indicators at the top of the anchors, which make it easier to tell when they’ve been properly installed.

Screw Anchors

Titen Turbo™ screw anchors feature a serrated leading edge, pointed tip, and innovative Torque Reduction Channel that traps drilling dust where it can’t get in the way of thread action. This significantly cuts down on binding, stripping, and snapping without compromising the anchors’ strength. It also allows more space for dust to help prevent anchors from bottoming out in smaller-diameter screw holes.

The patented reverse thread design makes driving smooth and requires less torque while providing superior holding power.
