Rivets and Tools

The most common type of rivet is a blind rivet, also commonly referred to as a pop rivet. Blind rivets consist of a pre-assembled rivet body and mandrel. When the mandrel is pulled, the rivet body expands, securely clamping the materials together.

Marshall Sales is one of the largest suppliers of blind rivets in North America, offering POP® and Avdel® brand rivets along with Huck®, Marson®, and Gesipa®.

Open End

Open-end rivets are general-purpose rivets. They’re available in a wide range of materials for applications with normal load-bearing requirements.

Soft Set

Soft Set rivets incorporate a body and mandrel made from specialized aluminum alloys. They are specifically designed for soft or brittle materials.

Micro

Micro rivets have a small diameter of 2.0mm with a low head height, which makes them perfect for tight spaces. This rivet is ideal for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), thin sheet metal, and electronic applications.

Multi-Grip

Multi-Grip rivets are designed to accommodate a wider grip range than other rivets. This means you’ll have to keep fewer options on hand at all times, which cuts back on overall inventory levels. Multi-Grip rivets also create rattle-free, vibration-resistant joints, even in irregular holes.

Load-Spreading

Load-Spreading rivets are ideal for use in vulnerable, friable, and particularly soft materials.

Closed End

Closed-end rivets feature completely closed bodies, which makes them ideal for water-tight or pressure-tight applications or any time mandrel retention is essential.

Pull-Thru

Pull-thru rivets are countersunk rivets that feature a “double flush” set on both sides. These are ideal for low clearance applications. The unique, patented, pull-thru design doesn’t leave any mandrel heads behind, which makes them ideal for electronic applications.

High-Strength

High-Strength rivets have large, blind-side expansions for structural applications. They feature excellent shear and tensile strength, which helps make them vibration resistant and enhances joint integrity.

High-Retention

High-retention rivets offer exceptional clamp-up capability and increased blind-side expansion. These features create the perfect combination to overcome air gaps while expanding loads during setting. The rivets have excellent mandrel retention and are rattle-resistant after setting.

Self-Plugger

Self-Plugger rivets are rattle-resistant and provide positive mandrel head retention through the use of mandrel gripping rings. This keeps the mandrel in the shear plane for optimal strength.

T-Rivet

T-rivets offer clamp-up capabilities, which makes them ideal for joining softer and more brittle materials like plastic, rubber, or wood. These rivets also provide improved shear strength since the mandrel head is retained after setting.

Ultra-Grip

Ultra-Grip rivets are high-strength fasteners with a positive mechanical locking system. This system provides superior holding power and seals the mandrel head into the mechanism. These rivets offer superior shear and tensile strength, making them ideal for structural applications.
